Nancy (Olmedo) FitzGerald is an evolving professional artist and co-owner of ArtSí Creative. Raised on the scenic island of Grosse Ile, Michigan, just across the river from Detroit’s dynamic cultural hub, she has cultivated a distinctive artistic voice, seamlessly blending the serenity of nature with the urban energy of the city. This unique upbringing continues to profoundly influence her creative practice.

Her artistic lineage is deeply rooted in a heritage enriched by her father’s steadfast encouragement. Originally from Quito, Ecuador, he fostered a deep reverence for culture and creativity within their household, a legacy that continues to shape her work. As a painter, Nancy specializes in capturing the essence of life’s beauty through vibrant abstracts and evocative depictions of human moments, employing bold colors, intricate textures, and expressive brushstrokes. Each artwork evolves organically, embodying a sophisticated celebration of joy and wonder.

During her academic pursuits in art and business, Nancy met Joe, her husband and professional partner, whose expertise in the custom picture frame industry complemented her vision. Together, they founded ArtSí Creative, merging their talents into a remarkable collaborative enterprise. Now based in North Carolina, they take pride in their family, which includes two accomplished sons and their spouses. With Michigan as their roots, Nancy and Joe treasure their life in North Carolina and their travels as a creative couple, which inspire her new works drawn from diverse landscapes.
